I used this video to inspire
the recently completed effort by the City of Atlanta
to restore and preserve my sculpture, Emerging, which was installed in 1981.
In it, I included images of the creation and location of the piece
you might find interesting.

I need to thank Robert Witherspoon, a sculptor himself, who is in the Public Art division
of the Bureau of Cultural Affairs, City of Atlanta
for his initiation and support of the conservation of Emerging.
He asked me to get involved in the restoration,
though I know he didn’t expect me to give him this video as a result.

I thank him and the City for their efforts and for his discovery of
Tanya Izzard’s observations on Emerging
on her Public Art In The World site.
